The Shooting Star Children's Hospice

Shooting Star House, Children's Hospice is a very special place, a home from home for families who find themselves in truly unimaginable circumstances. Our care team are privileged to provide specialist care and support - sharing the smiles on the good days, being there every step of the way through the more difficult times. The care is family-centred, focusing on the individual needs of the child, their parents and siblings. Through the provision of respite, palliative care and specialist end of life care, whether in the hospice or in the family's own home, we strive to ensure that quality of life is enhanced for the whole family throughout the course of a child's illness and beyond.

With no long-term statutory government funding, we rely on voluntary donations to fund the £3 million needed each and every year to sustain our care service provision.
